Under the brand it acquired in May 2013, iotum is innovating in the U.K. market by introducing, the first U.K. conferencing service to offer free in-browser calls as well as traditional dial-in numbers free of conference-bridging fees.

For FreeConference users – including consumers, small to medium businesses, enterprises and not-for-profit groups – the expansion means that employees, contractors and fellow group members in both North America and the U.K. can participate in high-quality audio conferences for free by using Web Real Time Communication (WebRTC) via compatible web browsers.

Any user with internet access and a compatible browser can use the WebRTC feature called FreeConference Connect at no charge. Chrome and Firefox are both WebRTC compatible across multiple operating systems, including Android. No dial-in or program download is required.
